Spring is in the air, and that means only one thing: the official flea market season is nigh! A lot of the seasonal markets will be opening within the next month or so, including The REAL Designers’ Market, formerly Nolita Market, this weekend (check back for a dispatch from tomorrow’s grand opening!). Here are a few seasonal markets that will be opening soon:
Brooklyn Flea (summer locations, beginning April 6th)
Saturday: 176 Lafayette Avenue, btw. Clermont & Vanderbilt Ave., 10am-5pm
Sunday: East River State Park, at N. 7th St., 10am-5pm

Smorgasburg (food market, beginning April 6th)
Saturday: East River State Park, at N. 7th St., 11am-6pm
Sunday: Tobacco Warehouse, 28 Water St., 11am-6pm
Per their website, the market features “packaged and prepared foods, purveyors from New York City and across the region, and other food-related vendors (kitchen utensils, housewares, etc.), for a total of 75-100 vendors.”
The REAL Designers’ Market (beginning March 2nd)
Saturday: 268 Mulberry Street, 11am-7pm
Features clothing, crafts and jewelry from local designers and artisans. This is going to be a year-round market, it just held its grand opening this month.
Hester Street Fair (beginning in April)
Saturday: Hester and Essex to East Broadway, 10am-6pm
Outdoor market for “one-of-a-kind good and specialty foods,” plus a Thursday night food bazaar at the Eventi Hotel.
