I’ve talked a whole lot about artists’ and flea markets on this site, but what about food? Aside from promoting Smorgasburg I haven’t really been pulling my weight when it comes to featuring exciting food markets.
As a concession, here’s a short video interview with Cheryl Perry of Pie Corps. Perry and her partner, Felipa Lopez, are veterans of farmers’ and food markets in New York City and its environs, including the New Amsterdam Market, making delectable sweet and savory pies as well as fun little treats like pie pops. They also offer pie-making classes at their cozy storefront in Greenpoint. Bon appétit!
