News: Brooklyn Flea comes to Philly! (And Manhattan)

Exciting news for Philadelphia-based fans of Brooklyn Flea! The owners have announced that they are expanding their operations to Philadelphia beginning in June with Brooklyn Flea Philly, featuring up to 100 vendors, including some familiar faces from the New York market who are migrating over or opening up a new outpost. The Philly market will take place every Sunday¬†from 10am-5pm at The Piazza at Schmidt’s on N. Hancock Street.

Fans of Smorgasburg will also be happy to learn that Brooklyn Flea is bringing some of its food vendors over to the South Street Seaport, in an attempt to bring traffic back to the Sandy-ravaged area.According to DNAinfo, “the Flea is slated to open a 40-table, 497-seat outdoor beer garden and food court on Front Street, between Beekman and Fulton Streets, starting Memorial Day weekend.”

They’re also set to open a second location, “Smorgasbar,” elevated on two shipping containers on Fulton Street.
